Katt brought it!
We have waited a long time for Low Cut Connie to come and decided to take the chance, despite the no-show in Seattle on the 29th, taken with the bad reviews for Oakland & Denver, Katt has had a few rough dates, had us rethinking the hour-long drive.
The evening started with us outside the theater at 7:15 waiting in the rain to get in, but it was worth it!!! Low Cut Connie drove up in a Hummer around 7:30 and waited a couple of minutes for the crowd to snap a few pics of him behind the wheel. The relief that Katt was here was palpable in those gathered. John Witherspoon alone would have been worth the cost of admission, the other acts had us all laughing hysterically. Gina and Courtney were also great!!!
The fact Low Cut Connie made 2 appearances and stayed as long as he did for his 2nd set was a tribute to his desire to put on a good show in spite of the rude behavior of a few miscreants. The one single drawback, though, didn't come from Katt's side of the stage, it came from the idiots videotaping and heckling Katt in spite of the DOZENS of signs prohibiting both.
